May: Right Now

Time:10:22am

Feeling: Sleepy.  This rainy weather makes me want to snuggle under the covers in my nicely darken room.

Loving: my deck!!!  It's huge & I can't wait for the hot, sunny days to sit out there and BBQ.  Plus, I can't wait till it's done.

Exciting: I chopped off almost 10 inches off my hair! Not enough to donate but it's still alot.  It was time for a change.  Got bangs & a shorter do.  I'm still trying to get use to it.

Listening to: Get Lucky - Daft Punk w/Robin Thicke & Pharell.  LOVE THIS!  On repeat lately.

Enjoying: a cup of coffee and the time I have right now to be creative.

Eating: my noodle egg soup.

Planning: catching up on my PL album, doing some laundry & just relaxing.

Should be: doing laundry & cleaning.  LOL.

Wearing: pj pants & tank top with my sweater.

Hoping: for sunshine & blue skies & hot days

Looking forward: starting on my landscape& gardening

NOT looking forward: to going to work tomorrow morning on a Saturday when I should be off.  Switching sucks & always is a good idea at the time.

Wishing: for hot days

Scrapbook Layout: "Hello Sunshine" & "Places to Visit"

I made these two layouts couple weeks ago for NSD!
I still haven't had a chance to start our Disney/Caribbean cruise trip back in 2011 but have been sporadically making layouts.  Definitely a fan of Dear Lizzy's Lucky Charm collection (all digital) along with some digital elements from Studio Calico's Sundrifter collection. (Unfortunately, most of the digital stuff for Sundrifter is gone.) This layout came along easy enough.  The challenge was to use 5 different pattern papers.  Just layered them all together and done!

Places to Visit was super simple!  The challenge was to use numbers.  I found the best photos of all the places i'd one day (soon I hope) to visit and just printed them.  I added foam dots underneath each picture so it would stand out a bit.  I also tried to have a nice 'rainbow' effect in the way the photos were place.  I painted Mister Huey's Clay mixed with water to create a light grey effect on the white cardstock.  Simple & easy.  Took me only 20 minutes to make this layout.

That's it for now.  Currently trying to catch up on my Project Life album and finishing up a baby girl album for my best friend.

Mother's Day - 2013 version (recap)

Simple day.

Woke up at 6am (maybe almost 7am) because Ari was awake and Ethan woke up.  He was itchy.  So I got up to get his ointment and lotion.  But then he's fully awake and says, "Happy Mother's Day, Mom!  Wait!  I have something for you!".  He jumps off the bed and goes to his room to give me my mother's day gift he made for me at school.  Crayon-colored flowers and coupons.  (To be honest: I had seen it already since I took it out of his backpack he tried so hard to hide from me a few days earlier and I hid my own gift from me in his closet).   I hugged and kissed him and thanked him then I told him to go back to sleep.  Hehehe.

Ari fell asleep in my arms again and I heard Tommy come in an hour later to grab Ethan.  All I remember hearing from them was, "don't come downstairs until we tell you to."  I was fine with that.  I was asleep.  All of a sudden (which felt like only 5 mins) Ethan jumps on me to tell me breakfast is ready!  I drag myself (and Arianna) out of bed to come downstairs to breakfast made on the table.

Eggs, waffles, bacon and sausage with OJ and coffee.  Oh, and a little strawberry shortcake to celebrate the day.  Simple.  Perfect.  That's all I need.  I don't need jewelry or new fancy schmancy stuff...this is from the heart.  And Ethan was sooo proud to present to me the table and the breakfast he helped make.  I'm happy.

After naptime (yeah, sleeping again), I got ready for work and the kids & I headed to my mom's to celebrate with her.  Ethan accidently forgot his coloring page he made for her but his aunt/my sister came to the rescue with 2 dozen coral-red roses.  So pretty.
I love my man, E&A.  I love my mom.
