Let it snow let it snow let it snow!

Hurray! It's going to be a white Christmas again! That's right. We got dumped with a lot of the fun white fluffy stuff over the past 4 days. That's my truck buried under snow...and I still haven't taken it out since last Thursday. LOL. I've been out to shovel the yard/driveway AND my in-law's driveway twice already. It's not as cold as it is usually this time of year but I think today i'll be staying in and just do some scrapbooking. Yay! =)

Well maybe i'll go for a quick coffee run at Tim Horton's. Mmmm. But I do feel like some Starbucks coffee & trying out the eggnog latte.

I will try to post sometime I make later on...xoxo.

All about you...Ethan

I have the funniest 3.5 year old boy! I swear, sometimes the comments or the things he says I can't believe comes out of his little mouth. I always wonder where he gets it...hmm. =P
I made a quick layout of all the things he says (at this moment in time) so that i'll never forget it! And I can bug him about it later on when he's older. THAT will be fun!
I just used a piece of kraft cardstock, Basic Grey chip stickers ('green at heart'), American Craft thickers, Evalicious embellishments, an assortment of stamps (including Heidi Swapp's 'love' stamps) for the journalling. I just made it to look like it's a wall of art and kind of made it uniform so that it doesn't look too messy. Simple & quick without too much fuss.

Ethan is...
+ 3.5 years old but a tiny, skinny boy
+ weighs only 26lbs (SUCH a picky eater)
+ he talks and talks and talks
+ LOVES his Thomas the train & friends (his #1 love)
+ LOVES anything Toy Story
+ has a very active imagination (I love listening to his conversations between his trains - each train has their own dialogue)
+ loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse & will do the Mickey hotdog dance (& I have to do Goofy's dance)
+ very outgoing & friendly & not shy at all (sometimes it's embarassing)
+ loves to tuck the bottom of his pj pants into his socks (weird, I know)
+ can count up to 50, knows the whole alphabet, can spell his name & know's "red + blue = purple")
+ loves singing & memorizes songs/things easily (eg. "Billy Jean" or "Thriller")

This list can go on and on. I love this boy soooo much! He's such a charmer too & will just smile and hug/kiss you so that you forget why he was in trouble! LOL.

That's it for now.

...and the rest of my December Daily 2010

Here's the rest of the pages for my DD:
Day 17 & Day 18

Day 19 & Day 20

Day 21 & Day 22

Day 23& 24

Day 25 & Day 26

Day 27 & Day 28

Day 29 & Day 30

Day 31 & New Year's Day

I ended up going till New Year's Day because we do have tons of other activities with friends going on past Christmas. And New Year's my little cousins/godsisters/godbrothers get together annually to celebrate Christmas/NY. It's a tradition we carried on from all our parents when they use to do it when we were all tiny babies/children.
I've also been brainstorming on what to include in my December Daily so that I DO have something on a daily basis:
+ picture/list of Ethan & Arianna's Christmas wish list
+ my Christmas tree & decor around my house
+ Arianna's first Christmas dress
+ gifts i've bought
+ lists of things I need to buy (though i've bought most of my presents)
+ samples of my handmade Christmas cards & gifts to friends
+ winter activities/events
+ winter scenery
+ everyday things/activities with the kids/family/friends
+ my favorite hot drink for winter (aka Cinnamon dolce latte at Starbucks)

Hoping to add more to the list so I can refer to it back in December!

My December Daily 2010

Finally completed the base for my DD this year! I'm following along with Ali Edwards' December Daily. I kept it simple AND I PROMISE to keep up with it on a daily basis. It'll probably be easier to keep up with it since I am on maternity leave so i'll have more time compared to the past 2 years.

The products I used mostly for my album:
+ American Crafts 8x8 cloth album
+ Anna Griffin Calisto Christmas journal tags
+ Anna Griffin Holiday Traditions die cut embellishments
+ Martha Stewart felt poinsettia stickers
+ Recollections glittered stamp stickers
+ Elle's Studio's Mix & Match Numbers
+ Elle's Studio Holiday Vintage Snowflakes tags
+ Assorted Hambly overlays
+ Assorted American Crafts thickers & ribbons
+ My Mind's Eye Holly Jolly papers

These are the "covers" for each day.

It's feeling alot like Christmas...

Wow! It's November already! And Winnipeg still has NO SNOW! Amazing! It's +10C on a nice, sunny day. I actually heard a neighbour mowing their lawn!?! LOL. Well, Halloween came & went...now all the Christmas decor is up! November 1st I put up my Christmas tree and some holiday decor in my vases. People think i'm crazy but I love having my tree up for a while rather than rushing it mid-December. I've also bought half the gifts for kids we need to buy gifts for and have my package to ship to family in Vancouver ready to go! Crazy, I know! I just want to have a quiet, non-rushed December...I don't want to be going to the mall or hitting the stores when everyone else is doing the same. I can't stand the traffic or pushy people. So i'm doing it all this month then just look forward to wrapping presents & enjoying December with family.

I'm currently working on my December Daily album. Almost done. It's going to be simple. I plan on staying on top of it this year...it's my 4th year! I think. =) I worked on my October album on a daily basis...took pictures EVERYDAY to make a nice 6x6 layout/day. I was quite happy that it was stress free & easy to do. So i'm hoping December will be the same. Just pictures & a little journaling/words and that's it. I can't wait! Now back to my baby girl, Arianna! She's 12 weeks old already!!!

Arianna's first Halloween...no costume because she's too tiny to fit one!
