my 2011 word

As I am a loyal follower of Ali Edwards, I wanted to follow her example of choosing one little word for 2011.

Why did I choose this word?

I chose SAVOR mainly because of my children. I realized that every passing minute they are growing and one day they'll be older and wiser and may not want mommy or daddy to hug & kiss them anymore. They may not want to be seen with me or they may not NEED me anymore. Ethan is going to be FOUR YEARS OLD in February. It feels like I JUST HAD HIM not too long ago! Looking at him now I see the differences in his face, the way he acts or says things, how smart & witty he is. And everyday with Arianna I see how she's starting to sit up unsupported on her own for a few seconds, how she's starting to interact with her toys and people.

I want to remember these little moments with them & savor them. I want to SAVOR all the little details in my life with them, my family & with everyday little things.

2010 Christmas Ornaments

I wanted to post a couple pictures of Arianna and Ethan's 2010 ornaments.

Since it's Ethan's 4th christmas, this year was all about Toy Story! He's watched all 3 movies over and over again! Can you believe that I NEVER watched Toy Story AT ALL till THIS YEAR!?!?! - LOL. Anyway, I was going to make Ethan a Toy Story ornament but since he saw this ornament in the Walmart flyer I went out and bought it.

As for Arianna it'll be her very FIRST christmas so I just picked up a glass ball ornament and filled it with crystal beads. I found this "BABY" embellishment at Michael's and added it. I used some 3M Scotch Quick-Dry Adhesive and spelt her name. I then used some Martha Stewart glitter to make her name sparkle. TA DA! That's it. I let it dry overnight and now it hangs on our tree.

Well, back to "trying" to finish up Day 16 & 17 on my DD album. Just need to do the finishing touches.

My December Daily...

You can check out my December Daily Album on Flickr. I'm currently trying to catch up to the 15th. Whew. Took a couple days, but i'm all caught up. I will be posting them on Flickr as soon as it's daylight. =)

I don't have much time to update this blog as much as i'd like to, but Arianna has been very clingy & having separation anxiety lately. PLUS I'm busy doing my finishing touches for Christmas.

One last thing,
Happy 51st birthday, daddy!! I love you soooooo much AND miss you equally as much. I know you're watching us from up Above. You're our Guardian Angel. xoxoxoxo.

It's Day 13...and i'm not even there!

I haven't had a chance to post any of my pages for THE LONGEST TIME! I have been working on my album here and there...trying to keep up with the photos pasted in the album. BUT, I've been sick since Friday, busy over the weekend and may finally have a chance to do some more damage to my album today. =)
I just received my package from Elle's Studio (the grab bag) and Evalicious' christmas embellishment package so I have a lot of goodies I can't wait to use. In the meantime, my little son is pretty sick with a fever and is quite wheezy so I gotta spend time taking care of him. =*(

OH! And HAPPY 4 MONTHS OLD, ARIANNA!

I can't believe she's growing soooo fast!!!

Catching up...

It's 2:10am on a Friday morning and i'm still up printing photos for my December Daily. *sigh* I haven't had a chance to work on it the past few days and the middle of the night is the only time I have for myself. =) Hopefully i'll have a chance tomorrow/later today to put it all together AND post it on here & the Flickr December Daily 2010 group.

Gotta head to bed...my neighbour is coming at 10am to work on my basement!

December Daily: Day 5

Ethan and I spent an a little time in the afternoon on Sunday to make (Pilsbury) snowmen cookies. He loves these just because of the 'snowmen'. LOL.

That's it for now! Currently working on Day 6. =)

December Daily: Day 3 & Day 4

Wow! Hadn't had a chance this weekend to upload & post my Day 3 & 4 pages.

On Day 3, I talked about Ethan's little christmas wish list which we created 2 weeks ago. It's posted on our fridge. I cut out all the pictures he wanted from flyers & he glued them down.

On Day 4, I talked about Ethan & Arianna going to see Santa at the mall on the 26th. Ethan couldn't stand still in line & kept saying, "is it my turn, yet?!". When it was his turn he just ran up & sat on his lap but then Ethan became shy! LOL. And little Arianna didn't even cry. I don't think she knew what was going on.

Well, that's it for now! I will be posting Day 5 sometime later on today.

December Daily: Day 2

Didn't get a chance to do my day 2 page till today. I actually treated myself to a facial by my AWESOME friend, Joanna (who works at Edward Carriere) then we met up with our other girlfriends and had some sushi at Kenko Niwa last night.
Anyways, back to my Day 2 layout! Ethan has been obsessed with the iphone/ipad game, Angry Birds for the past 3 months. He wanted to be an Angry Bird for Halloween! LOL. They had a new edition come out for Christmas - Angry Birds Seasons.
Printed a 6x8 photo of him playing the game. On the right side, just a couple more photos of him.
The two page spread for Day 2
Used Ali Edwards' digital overlay for the journaling part.

The right side of my layout.
Created the circular text in Photoshop CS5. Then I just punched out a scalloped circle of pattern paper to fill in the circle.

Going to work on Day 3 tonight. Happy scrapping people!

December 1st AND it's DAY 1!

I can't believe how excited I am. <--- geek!

I have actually finished Day 1 of my December Daily 2010 album...and it's only 1:25p.m. =) It took me only 15 minutes to do. Just used old scraps from last year's DD and some Elle's Studio snowflake tags.
Simple page. It's about the Christmas gift I bought for myself - my Fuji Instax 7S mini camera. LOVE THIS TOY! =) My little models - Ethan & Arianna - posing in front of our Christmas tree.

Can't wait till tomorrow! =)

Let it snow let it snow let it snow!

Hurray! It's going to be a white Christmas again! That's right. We got dumped with a lot of the fun white fluffy stuff over the past 4 days. That's my truck buried under snow...and I still haven't taken it out since last Thursday. LOL. I've been out to shovel the yard/driveway AND my in-law's driveway twice already. It's not as cold as it is usually this time of year but I think today i'll be staying in and just do some scrapbooking. Yay! =)

Well maybe i'll go for a quick coffee run at Tim Horton's. Mmmm. But I do feel like some Starbucks coffee & trying out the eggnog latte.

I will try to post sometime I make later on...xoxo.

All about you...Ethan

I have the funniest 3.5 year old boy! I swear, sometimes the comments or the things he says I can't believe comes out of his little mouth. I always wonder where he gets it...hmm. =P
I made a quick layout of all the things he says (at this moment in time) so that i'll never forget it! And I can bug him about it later on when he's older. THAT will be fun!
I just used a piece of kraft cardstock, Basic Grey chip stickers ('green at heart'), American Craft thickers, Evalicious embellishments, an assortment of stamps (including Heidi Swapp's 'love' stamps) for the journalling. I just made it to look like it's a wall of art and kind of made it uniform so that it doesn't look too messy. Simple & quick without too much fuss.

Ethan is...
+ 3.5 years old but a tiny, skinny boy
+ weighs only 26lbs (SUCH a picky eater)
+ he talks and talks and talks
+ LOVES his Thomas the train & friends (his #1 love)
+ LOVES anything Toy Story
+ has a very active imagination (I love listening to his conversations between his trains - each train has their own dialogue)
+ loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse & will do the Mickey hotdog dance (& I have to do Goofy's dance)
+ very outgoing & friendly & not shy at all (sometimes it's embarassing)
+ loves to tuck the bottom of his pj pants into his socks (weird, I know)
+ can count up to 50, knows the whole alphabet, can spell his name & know's "red + blue = purple")
+ loves singing & memorizes songs/things easily (eg. "Billy Jean" or "Thriller")

This list can go on and on. I love this boy soooo much! He's such a charmer too & will just smile and hug/kiss you so that you forget why he was in trouble! LOL.

That's it for now.

...and the rest of my December Daily 2010

Here's the rest of the pages for my DD:
Day 17 & Day 18

Day 19 & Day 20

Day 21 & Day 22

Day 23& 24

Day 25 & Day 26

Day 27 & Day 28

Day 29 & Day 30

Day 31 & New Year's Day

I ended up going till New Year's Day because we do have tons of other activities with friends going on past Christmas. And New Year's my little cousins/godsisters/godbrothers get together annually to celebrate Christmas/NY. It's a tradition we carried on from all our parents when they use to do it when we were all tiny babies/children.
I've also been brainstorming on what to include in my December Daily so that I DO have something on a daily basis:
+ picture/list of Ethan & Arianna's Christmas wish list
+ my Christmas tree & decor around my house
+ Arianna's first Christmas dress
+ gifts i've bought
+ lists of things I need to buy (though i've bought most of my presents)
+ samples of my handmade Christmas cards & gifts to friends
+ winter activities/events
+ winter scenery
+ everyday things/activities with the kids/family/friends
+ my favorite hot drink for winter (aka Cinnamon dolce latte at Starbucks)

Hoping to add more to the list so I can refer to it back in December!
